Real help for Anxiety, ADHD, and Autism Level 1

You can learn how to slow yourself down when you’re anxious or emotionally distracted.

If you have Anxiety, ADHD, or Autism Level 1, you probably already know the hardships that these can cause. You might be plagued with worry, excessive guilt, self-blame, shame, doubt, regret, or multiple sensory difficulties, just to name a few. You probably also find it hard to make and keep friends and difficult to keep up with the workload and expectations of life.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could start controlling how you respond in these difficult situations?

What if you learned how to slow yourself down when necessary, how to change your inner monologue to be more encouraging, and how to fight fire with fire to manage your sensory distress? And what if you could do all of this without sacrificing creativity while also increasing productivity? You can!

Meet Martin Altman, LPC, your metaphorical brakes specialist for Anxiety, ADHD, and Autism Level 1:

As a therapist and ADHD’er, I am a qualified expert on helping neurodivergent clients like you. I don’t think of this work as a job, I see it more as a passion project.

My extensive professional training, research, broad referral network, and personal experience mean that I am very likely the best counselor out there who will understand you the best.

My Story

Old School Wisdom, New School Ways:

I’m a straight shooter. I’m a former farm kid turned suburbanite. Somewhere between the fields of Brantley County, GA, the hills of Athens, GA, and the subdivisions of Metro Atlanta, I came to realize that my career was supposed to be about helping people.

Today, I weave old-world, agrarian wisdom in with modern science to help people mitigate the stressors of our modern life.

Open minded, well-trained:

I studied psychology at UGA and got a master’s in counseling from Georgia State, Then, I put in my time working for a few large mental health service providers across Atlanta as I got licensed. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to have a successful private practice.

Along the way, I’ve developed a healthy respect and empathy for people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, religions, sexual orientations, and ethnicities. I’ve helped people from almost all walks of life.

In doing so, I’ve met people with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and neurodivergence in many forms. Whatever your background, I’d love to hear your story and help you!

And, chances are, somewhere along the way we’ll find a way to relate to one another.

Your story matters more than anything.

One truth that I have seen proven over and over again in this work: Your story matters. You are a person first, not a “patient”.

You have your own story, and I want to hear you tell it! I have learned that there is nothing as powerful for healing as when the brain hears the mouth say what the heart needs to articulate.

This is how we heal. This is how we grow!

Schedule a Free Consultation

The process of learning to take back control starts with scheduling a free, 15-minute consultation. This will be a short, simple conversation in which you can ask questions and we can both evaluate whether or not I can help you. If I can help you, then we’ll schedule an appointment, usually within 2 weeks of the call. If I can’t help, then I’ll refer you to someone who can.
